A group show part of 48 Stunden Neukölln under the theme IN/SIDE/OUT. Participating artists include Marina Valls, Ana Martín, Annsofie Jonsson, Håkan Jonsson, Camille Moreno, Monika Berstis, Saioa Arellano, Aaron Jack, Jessica Dahlheim, Taihan Behring, Lisa Gratzke, and Janin Walter.

Going Feral examines “ferality” as a response to systems of control, productivity, and social regulation. The project looks at feral gestures as micro-acts of resistance to the romanticization of wildness for posterity: messy, embodied, and unsanctioned, within art, language, and public space.
The installation draws on key arguments from animal ethics and animal studies, condensing them into a spatial narrative centered on the feral as a category. It also takes inspiration from Feral Feminisms, a publication which takes the feral as a call to untaming, queering, and radicalizing feminist thought and practice.
Like the journal’s inter-media, cross-disciplinary approach, the artworks mobilize the feral as a metaphor, as well as a method for an unruly strategy towards unsettling normative structures and opening feminist inquiry to forms of knowledge, embodiment, and resistance that exceed containment.
